My undergraduate, MBBS, and post-graduate, MCh in Neurosurgery,
training were at the Madras Medical College (MMC) at Chennai (formerly known as Madras), the capital of Tamilnadu state in
India. It was founded on February 2, 1835 and is the second medical college to be established in India. It is attached
to the Government General Hospital (GGH), Chennai, which was started as early as 16 November 1664. The Neurosurgery department
at MMC & GGH is the second oldest in the country and was started in 1949. Click on the photo above to visit the official website of our college.
Batch of '84

In MBBS we are the Batch of '84 (Batch of 84, 1984) at the
Madras Medical College, Chennai. Some call us The Sesquicentennials 1984. The photograph
above was taken on the Graduates Reception Day of our Batch. Click on it to visit our batch website.

If your net connection is slow, photos and links may
not pop up as fast as the rabbit is popping out of the magician's hat! Believe me, it's worth the wait!

20
Years to the day after we joined MBBS, on 3rd September 2004, we had a reunion of our batch at the hallowed MMC campus. Later
a group of 46 students met over dinner to relive our college days.
